Gilbert, Arizona needs Optimists!

Gilbert, Arizona is once again the fastest growing town of its size in the U.S. and it needs more Optimists! Not that current residents are of the 'glass half empty' variety, but you can't get too much optimism. Gilbert needs people who are focused on serving the needs of youth in a rapidly growing town.

The Gilbert Optimist Club is part of Optimist International, one of the largest youth service organizations in the world. We would like you to join us as we promote optimism through community service. Our projects include the Gilbert Optimist Club Children's Corner in the Emergency Room of Mercy Gilbert Hospital, our town's first hospital, and Operation Iraqi Optimism. Our Caps4Kids project has provided hundreds of knit caps for kids at Phoenix Children's Hospital and other local kids organizations. Operation Cookie was a project were we supported both our local Girl Scouts and Gilbert kids who are now on active military duty. The Avenue of Flags Project is our primary fund raiser; through it we provide a patriotic service and raise money for our other projects. There are lots of other activities and ways for us to impact our community.

Feel free to review our club calendar and visit a meeting or activity. There are also several other East Valley Optimist Clubs available to anyone looking for volunteer opportunities.
